Kerstin Dimond
Works in North Essex as a dog trainer specialising in canine sports and activities. Her passion is for dogs to be able to participate in and enjoy sports and activities that will keep them fit and allow them to use their natural abilities and spend quality time with their owners.
Something that has worried her increasingly is the number of unfit owners and dogs she sees on a regular basis.
She is in her fith year at Bishop Burton College, where she is studying for a BSc (Hons) in Canine Behaviour and Training. For her Advanced Dog Training Module she ran two of her dogs in harness on a dryland rig.
She is a qualified member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers. (Member 1063) All members have to pass both written and practical elements and adhere to a code of conduct promoting kind, motivational and scientific dog training. Please visit their website to learn more about the APDT.
She is working closely with Marketa Braierova, of dogtrekking.co.uk , who lives in Lifford, Ireland and together they will be able to provide you with an introduction to all canine harness sports.
There are so many sports to get involved in and she hopes to get people together for training and social activities.
